Author Name : Dr. Deepti Prakash

ABSTRACT

The study surveyed 1255 university students (female= 408, male= 847) of National Capital Region of Delhi, India. All the students were pursuing professional courses. The multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used to recognize the relationship between percentages of marks in senior secondary school and percentages of marks in graduation with Entrepreneurial Intensity of students. Entrepreneurial Intensity encompasses combined effect of frequency (number of times entrepreneurial venture is initiated) and degree (proactiveness, innovativeness, risk taking) of Entrepreneurship.  Another factor was added to the construct of Entrepreneurial Intensity; namely, Affective states of learning. It was validated through Confirmatory factor analysis. It was found that percentages of graduation (below 50 percent, 50- 60 percent and more than 50 percent) have significant differences on Proactiveness, Affective States on learning and Entrepreneurial Intensity of students. Further it was found that students with less than 50 percent marks in their graduation are highest on proactiveness, affective states of learning and Entrepreneurial Intensity.

Key words: Entrepreneurial Intensity, Frequency of entrepreneurship, Degree of Entrepreneurship, Proactiveness, Innovativeness and Risk taking.
