ABSTRACT

Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) derived from Kalpana1 and Metop1 has been analyzed over Thar Desert of Rajasthan and Shimoga Forest of Karnataka, of INDIA (Lon: 69’-76’E and Lat: 25’-30’N of Thar) (Lat: 13’-14’N and Lon: 74’-76’E, of Shimoga) during Jan to Dec, 2015 using Time Series with Statistical Analysis. It is observed that where LST is High, there NDVI is low and vice versa, excluding Aug till Nov, 2015 of Thar and Oct – Nov, 2015 of Shimoga.
