Use of edible and non-edible oils in the production of alternate fuels of compression ignition engines

ABSTRACT  The alternate fuels of compression ignition engines are found from various studies in the current research work. It is observed that biodiesel from various edible and non-edible oils are best use in blended form as fuel of diesel engines. The various optimization techniques like response surface methodology, genetic algorithms, taguchi etc. are helpful in predicting optimal solutions. End user can select any of these solutions depending upon the requirements of performance, combustion and emission parameters.
