ABSTRACT : This research project focuses on “Analyzing the performance appraisal system at Vision India Insurance Pvt. Ltd, Coimbatore”. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the appraisal system on employee motivation and measure the level of employee performance within the company. Through a structured questionnaire and statistical analysis, data was collected to explore employees' perceptions towards the appraisal system and its impact on their motivation. The study also examines the scope and limitations of the appraisal process, along with identifying areas for improvement. The research methodology involved the collection of both primary and secondary data, with statistical tools such as correlation analysis and chi-square test used for data analysis. The study provides insights into the challenges and opportunities in performance appraisal within the insurance industry, particularly in Tamil Nadu. Recommendations are offered to enhance the effectiveness of the performance appraisal system and improve employee motivation, thereby contributing to organizational success.
