ABSTRACT
The level of pollution is increasing rapidly due to factors like industries, urbanization, increasing population, vehicle use which can affect human health. Nowadays, air pollution has become one of the most important concerns of the world. The level of pollution has increased by lot of factors like increase in population, increased in vehicles, industrialization and urbanization these results in harmful effects on human beings by directly affecting the health of population who are in exposure to it. Air pollution may also developed from natural sources. The air pollutants of atmosphere are CO, CO2, SO2, NO2 and O3 suspended particulate matter (SPM), repaired suspended particulate matter volatile organic compounds and they have a great effect on the people's health. Most of the major cities in developing countries and most cities of the developed countries are suffering from it. Thus, we have developed an Arduino based air pollution Monitoring system which is a combination of a small-sized, minimum-cost sensor to an Arduino microcontroller unit. IOT Based Air Pollution Monitoring System is used to monitor the air Quality over a web server using internet. It will trigger an alarm when the quality of the air goes down beyond a certain level, means when there are enough harmful gases present in the air like CO2, smoke, alcohol, benzene, NH3 and NO2. It will show the readings of air quality in PPM on the LCD screen and as well as on webpage so that air pollution can be monitored very easily. The advantages of the detector are reliable stability, rapid response recovery and long-life features. It is affordable, user friendly, low-cost, and minimum-power requirement hardware, which is appropriate for mobile measurement, as well as comprehensible data collection. It has processing software able to analyze, collected quality data with high precision. Simple instrument which can be commercially utilized. In this project, we can monitor the pollution level from anywhere using your computer or mobile.
