ABSTRACT

Herbal cosmetics is defined as the beauty products, which possessdesirable physiological activities such as skin smoothening,appearance, enhancing and conditioning properties with the help ofherbal ingredients. Herbal cosmetics are products that are used toimprove and enhance the appearance. The herbal cosmetic has been thechoice of the peoples, because it is easily available in nature and lessside effects. In today’s scenario everybody is concern about their facialskin and everyone want to use the products which has lesser sideeffects. Herbal Ingredients are one of the solutions to everyone concernas it causes lesser side effects as compared to chemicals. The mainadvantages of herbal cosmetic is non-toxic nature and reduce theallergic reactions, naturally available, safe to use. Herbal cosmetics areeconomical to use. Herbal cosmetics have various medicinal benefits.Plant and the plant extracts are the natural sources of cosmeticformulations. An herb is a plant or the plant extract including leaves,barks, roots, seeds, stems and flowers which are the nourishing and healing elements.
