Author Name : Ritu Kainth, Jasmine Randhawa, Preeti Kumari, Ankit Vashisht
ABSTRACT
In current times, people are getting engrossed with herbal products. Owing to this notion the present work is aimed at preparation of Polyherbal Hand wash formulation from the metholonic extracts of fruit of Bael (Aegle marmelos), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) and Lemon (Citrus limon). Each herb will be authenticated by a recognized institute and the prepared formulation will be evaluated for physical properties like appearance, pH and viscosity. To check the antimicrobial activity, the prepared hand wash will be tested against skin pathogens Bacilus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli by agar diffusion method. The degree of inhibition in each case will be compared with the standard marketed antimicrobial hand wash. Depending on the result, the above herbs will be approved or disapproved for the preparation of herbal hand wash on commercial scale.
