Accounting Process of Divisional Office, Department of Forest, Government of Arunachal Pradesh

ABSTRACT
Accounting process of the Forest Department is complex but well organised. Departments such as Finance Department, Accountant General of the State, Authorised Bank (State Bank of India), Range Offices, Divisional Offices and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & Principal Secretary Environment & Forest (Head Office) need to work together to complete the process of accounting and reporting of the Forest Department. Divisional Office of the Forest Department is the account rendering units. The responsibility of the Divisional Office is to maintain the accounts of the various Range Offices spread all over the State. Divisional Offices act as an intermediary between Range Offices and Head Office and maintain all necessary books of accounts and prepare monthly reports and submit to the Head Office and the Accountant General of the State.
