NMPyTs is an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of thiazolidine-4-one derivatives of Isoniazide.

ABSTRACT
An efficient, green and facile synthesis of thiazolidine-4 one derivatives has been described on reaction with mercaptoacetic acid, and Schiff’s bases in(Isoniazide and substituted benzaldehyde) using recyclable ionic liquid (NMPyTs) as a catalyst and ethanol. This protocol offers the significant advantages in terms of simplicity, very good yields, simple workup procedure, short reaction time and this method is eco-friendly benign.
Key Words: -Mercaptoacetic acid, ionic liquid and Schiff’s bases of Isoniazide.
