ABSTRACT Microspheres are very small, spherical solid particles with dimensions varying from 1 to 1000 um. Microparticles and microspheres are two distinct terms for one identical thing. The microspheres are a cutting-edge drug delivery method that offers a powerful therapeutic alternative to traditional or immediate-release single-unit dose forms. It is a free-flowing powder made of artificial polymers that are naturally biodegradable. Microspheres enhance the bioavailability, reduce side effects, and cut down on dosage frequency, enhance stability, and direct the medicine to a specific spot at a set rate. In this article, several types of microspheres are applied in different ways to increase therapeutic efficacy and are assessed using various methods other than microsphere analysis
