Hyperacidity is also known as acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease occurs when stomach acid flows back into esophagus. Hyperacidity incidence in india is quite significant affecting 8-19% of Indian population and 7.6% of Indians suffer from GERD symptoms weekly. No matter how much we try to avoid it, it will eventually affect us. But the observation during our clinical experience on shankhprakshalan, shows a good yogic bowel cleansing technique appeared to be a safe procedure in hyperacidity.
