A Case Study on Dot Trapping Print Quality Parameter of Offset Prints with Respect to White Coated MET PET Boards

ABSTRACT

The offset print is the most dominating part of the printing and packaging industries. In the offset industries met pet boards are very helpful for the excellent porosity and attractive print. The met pet boards are very useful for the packaging contain ability and other packaging applications. The printing and packaging industries have lots of the parameters for the print quality. The offset industries have generally six main quality parameters which are dot gain or dot loss, tonal value increase, lab and lch values of color, grayness, solid ink density and dot trapping. The dot trapping is most essential parameter for the print quality in printing and packaging industries. This particular research work is completely based study of print quality parameters and specially dot trapping. This research work defines the cause and effect of the dot trapping in the print quality.
