A Comparative Analysis of Female Literacy Rate in Haryana
Author Name : Dr. Pardeep Malik
ABSTRACT This research explores the crucial problem of female literacy in the Indian state of Haryana. Due to its historically poor performance compared to the national average and the state's male literacy rate, the female literacy rate in Haryana remains a source of concern. The purpose of the research is to explore the basic causes of this imbalance & to provide practical solutions. The study focuses at the variables affecting female literacy in Haryana using secondary as well as primary information. To provide an in-depth understanding of the issue, data is gathered through surveys, government reports, and academic institution records. In order to examine the complex interaction of socioeconomic, cultural, and geographical influences effecting female literacy, the research combines qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Based on the Indian survey, a person is regarded to be literate if they can read and write in any language with comprehension and are beyond the age of six. Women represent around fifty percent of the entire population in Haryana. Haryana has the 22nd-highest literacy rate in India, at 75.55%, according to the census data from 2011.
