A Comparative Study on Emotional Maturity of Adolescents

ABSTRACT Emotional maturity refers to our capability to understand and manage our emotions. Developing emotional maturity in adolescents is crucial for their overall well-being and successful transition into adulthood. The present study aims at a comparative study on Emotional Maturity of Adolescents. The research was conducted among male and female students studying in Rural and Urban Schools of KeonjharDistrict,Odisha,studying in 9 th and 10thstandards. The sample consists a total 200 boys’ and girls’students.Mean, SD, t-Test, was used to compare the emotional maturity of adolescents. The result revealsthat the boys are more emotionally mature than girls. Emotional maturity among adolescent boys and girls living in urban and rural areas, the urban boys are more emotionally mature than rural boys, and the rural girls are more emotionally mature than urban girls. Overall boys are more emotionally mature than the girls.
