A Comprehensive Review on Estimation of Empagliflozin and Linagliptin Individually and in Combination with other Drugs by HPLC Method

ABSTRACT

Empagliflozin is a medication used in the management and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is in the sodium-glucose co-transporter (SGLT-2) class of medication for diabetes. Linagliptin is a medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes. It is in a class of medications called dipeptidyl peptidase-4(DPP-4) inhibitors. The present review article represents the compendium and discussion of analytical methods published in the literature for estimation of empagliflozin and linagliptin individually and in combination with other drugs by hplc method. The anticipated review details about the comparative utilization of HPLC analytical technique for the estimation of empagliflozin and linagliptin in the API and the marketed formulation. The present compilation can be essentially explored to potentiate future analytical investigations of empagliflozin and linagliptin.
