A Correlation Study on Resilience and Subjective Well-Being

ABSTRACT Every adult's existence depends on their ability to be resilient. When it comes to adult well-being and happiness, it is the ability to recover swiftly from life's challenges that must be prioritised. The term Subjective well-being (SWB), also known as self-reported well-being, refers to how people experience and evaluate different aspects of their lives. It is often used to measure mental health and happiness, and it can be an important predictor of individual health, wellness, and longevity.SWB encompasses a vast array of different concepts, from fleeting experiences in our day-to-day lives to much broader global judgments that we make about our lives as a whole.The primary goal of this study is to examine the relationship betweenresilience and subjective well-being among adults. A sample of 100 adult volunteers in the age category of 25-30 years was taken from Delhi-NCR for this study.Data was analysed by using Pearson correlation. Following questionnaires were used for collecting the data i.e. The Resilience scale by Wagnild and Young (1987) andSPANE (Scale of Positive and Negative Experience) developed by Ed Diener et al., (2009).The findings of the study revealed that there is a positive correlation between job satisfaction and emotional intelligence among youth
