“A Descriptive Study to Assess the Breakfast Eating Pattern among Children Studying at Selected Schools of Kurali, Punjab (2019-21)”

ABSTRACT Background: Breakfast is describe as most significant meal of the day, contributing higher intakes of micronutrients and a lower intake of fat and has a better diet quality. It also controls the appetite, improve the energy and reduce the risk of overeating & chronic disease. A healthy breakfast provides school children the requisite nutrients for their activities and it improves their alertness, and learning skills during the day. Objectives: 1) To assess breakfast eating pattern among school children. 2) To assess and compare the required and consumed nutrients and calorie intake among school children.
