ABSTRACT
This paper explores the theme of exploitation and the presence of Marxism in Mulk Raj Anand's novels "Untouchable" and "Two Leaves and a Bud." Focusing on the socio-economic inequalities prevalent in both works, the paper examines how the characters in these novels are subjected to various forms of exploitation. Drawing on the principles of Marxism, the paper analyses the class dynamics and power structures depicted in the books. Marxism, as a socio-political theory, provides a lens through which the novels can be critically examined. Through the lens of Marxism, the paper highlights the class struggle and societal inequalities that permeate the narratives, emphasizing the portrayal of the proletariat as victims of exploitation. The analysis underscores the relevance of Marxism in understanding the themes of exploitation and social injustice as depicted in Anand's works.
