A Mechanism for Broadcasting to Trusted Users with Encryption Key

ABSTRACT An overview of existing broadcast security schemes. It considers a setting with one or more senders wanting to securely distribute messages, using a one-way broadcast channel, to a selected set of receivers. This can be achieved using encryption and one part of the problem is to decide which user should have what decryption key(s). Broadcast encryption systems are now more and more popular. A typical application of Broadcast encryption system is the broadcast of pay TV program. The broadcast center encrypts the TV program with session key, and broadcasts the encrypted signals to users. Only who those who paid for the program are able to decryption the encrypt the TV program. Another application area is in military or civilian Terrestrial Trunked radio networks where it is specifically designed for use by government agencies, emergency services network necessary to be able to send voice, video or text messages to groups of users while maintaining confidentiality so that no outsider can access the information.
