ABSTRACT Combination therapies of Thymoquinone and nanomaterials in clinical trials Many herbal products are now used as solution to treat various infections and non-infections conditions. Thymoquinone the main active constituent of Nigella Sativa plant, also known as black seed or black cumin, and its major active ingredient, thymoquinone has been proved to be of very great therapeutic aid in various in vitro and in vivo conditions. Nigella Sativa has the richest historical past of plant in the healthcare sphere of activity. Herbal medicine has attracted great attention in the recent years and is more and more used as alternatives to chemical drugs. Several lines of evidence support the positive impact of medicinal plants in the prevention and cure of a broad range of diseases. A number of pharmacological actions of Thymoquinone have been investigated including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, anti-histaminic, anti-microbial, anti-tumor effects.
