ABSTRACT
The spoke wheel was invented more recently and allowed the construction of lighter and swifter vehicles. The purpose of the car's wheel rim is to provide a firm base on which tire could be fitted. Alloy wheels are automobile wheels that are made from an alloy of metals. The wheel model is created in SOLIDWORKS and then imported into the ANSYS workbench through the IGES file format. The finite element analysis of this model was produced using the solid tetrahedron element. We considered the materials: INCONEL 718, MG AZ31B, Ti-13, Al 7075, & Structural Steel. These are subjected to different boundary conditions. This research aims to conduct further analyses such as Static Structural, Modal, and Harmonics. The Static Structural study found equivalent Von Mises Stresses, Total Deformation, and Maximum Principal Stresses. In the Modal Analysis, we studied the mode shapes of the car rim. We also found the Harmonic stresses, acceleration & deformation curves, etc.
