The word dialysis is derived from the Greek word “Dialysis” which means dissolution, “dia” meaning through, and “lusis” meaning loosening. A dialysis is a form of renal replacement therapy. The kidney role of filtration of the blood is supplemented artificial equipment for the removal of excess water, solute and toxin. World Health Organization defines quality of life as an individual perception of their position in life intext of the culture and value system in which they live and in relation to their goal, expectation, standard and concern. There are three broad types of dialysis: Hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis, Continuous renal replacement therapy. In United State (1996), 13% of incident end stage renal disease patients started renal replacement therapy at an glomerular filtration rate of 10ml/min or higher. This increased to 43% in 2010 and drop to 39% in 2015. Mortality among dialysis patients are markedly higher among younger age groups, primarily attributed to cardiovascular (40%).
