A Review: Herbal Dhoop and its Ingredients

ABSTRACT
The ancient study of life known as Ayurveda has constantly placed a strong focus on establishing and maintaining good health in a person. Ayurveda emphasizes finding a balance between a human's internal and external environments (body, mind, soul, spirit). Ayurvedic fumigation, or Dhoopama, is an example of a medicine delivered by inhalation and has various benefits, such as ease of administration, greater bioavailability, and high potential to cross the blood brain barrier. The biggest problem in today’s world is the environment pollution. The increased pollution also has an impact on air quality. The environment is cleansed and made to feel pleasant by the use of cow dung, cow ghee and some other substances in a variety of religious rituals such as homas and havens. Sandalwood, cow ghee, cow milk, camphor and various other herbs having an appreciable fragrance. The time has come for looking around for solutions to the problem. Though there are several chemical methods, but they all have some adverse side effects. Present the study describes a possible alternate strategy for handling the situation. It describes the various types of dhoops and incense sticks discovered. The current study further focuses into describing the relief offered by various dhoops in various states of health.
