Author Name : Dinesh Yadav, Girish Borade, Srushti Rahane, Nikita Walke
ABSTRACT Proctoring systems have become robust and reliable devices used to conduct online education and remote assessments in the face of rapid paradigm shifts in online education to ensure that integrity is upheld in examinations. The review paper focused on an advanced intelligent online exam proctoring system which utilized advanced AI-driven techniques to detect cheating in real-time situations. The system blends components of eyetracking, motion monitoring in the mouth area, head pose estimation, and facial recognition and more to provide a secure and fair examination environment. By analyzing these components on the behavior of the examinee, it can detect various forms of suspicious activities such as looking off the computer screen, speaking out during the test, and odd movements in the head that may cheat. Besides, the system utilizes state-of-the-art algorithms that monitor facial expressions of students to be rightly at their designated seat without utilizing other resources or getting an external source. This system of proctoring emphasizes great value on real-time monitoring and high accuracy for detecting suspicious activities for secure and reliable online assessments for educational institutions. This paper will describe the methodologies adopted, strengths and weaknesses of the system, and possible future improvements for improving performance and scalability.
