ABSTRACT Background: The World health organization (WHO) has called for the assessment of medicinal uses that are ineffective or unsafe but have proven potential as healing plants in cases where there is no reliable allopathic medicine. Tulsi is derived from the Sanskrit word which implies "the incomparable one," It has been grouped with Ocimum sanctum in old-fashioned literature, and a large number of its utilitarian qualities reflect Sanctums status as citrus uency. Objectives: Because tulsi has anti-inflammatory qualities, it helps prevent bacterial, fungal, and viral infections that can harm the eyes. It also lessens stress and relieves inflammation in the eyes. Tulsi is an oral disinfectant and natural mouth freshener. Mouth ulcers can also be healed by oximum sanctum.
