ABSTRACT

Good laboratory practice or good laboratory practices are globally accepted methods to perform activities or operations in a laboratory. According to the authorities and laboratory organizations these practices help ensure safety. They yield ambiguity in result interpretation. For pharmaceutical companies, for example, GLP compliance is of high importance.Good laboratory practice is not specifically concerned with production, but it is very much essential for the quality control. Certain guidelines are associated with the good manufacturing practices which are illustrated in this article.Good Laboratory Practice, or GLP, is a quality check system that implies to the organizational process safety and conditions under which laboratory studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded, reported, and archived. GLP covers all aspects of research that generate data for assessing the safety of chemicals and pharmaceuticals (including cosmetics) And a well designed GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICE system should result in a harmonious ensemble, not a discordant cacophony.
