ABSTRACT

In this review, it'd be studied that Thiazolidinedione (TZD) heterocyclic compounds are enormous standing within the synthetic and pharmacological approach of medicinal chemistry. Generally the thiazolidinediones are a class of oral antidiabetic drugs that promote metabolic activity in patients suffering from type 2 diabetes but thiazolidinedione (TZD) nucleus upon the addition of varied functional groups is provides wide spectrum of biological activity by the use of various mechanism on different target sites. The synthesis of thiazolidinediones derivatives preparation was performed by substituting different substituents at different position of thiazolidinedione ring. The structure and stereochemistry of these derivatives exposing various biological activities.
