ABSTRACT

Nanotechnology breakthroughs have the probable to revolutionise drug processing, drug distribution, and medical diagnostics. There has been a lot of scientific activity in the arena of drug distribution consuming particulate distributionorganisations as carriers for small and large molecules over the last few decades. Nanoparticles have been used to alter and improve the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assets of diverse drug molecules using a physical method. Nanoparticles (NP), classified as particles with a width of lesser than 100 nm, are rapidly being used in a variety of applications, including drug delivery systems and the crossing of organ barriers including the blood-brain barrier. Nanocrystals (quantum dots) and other nanoparticles (nanobars, dendrimers, and nanoshells) have gotten a lot of recognition for their possible application in therapeutics and experimental drug development due to their peculiar properties. Nanotechnology's use in medicine, especially drug delivery, is expected to grow rapidly. Many compounds are currently being researched for drug delivery and, more precisely, cancer treatment.Interestingly, pharmaceutical sciences have been using nanoparticles to minimise drug toxicity and side effects, but they were unaware until recently that carrier systems may pose risks to patients. Many of these facets of NP are addressed in this article.
