ABSTRACT Nanotechnology is the science and technology based on control of matter and structures on nanometer scale between 0.1 and 100 nm. Nano medication is one of the emerging new science and technology. Nano pharmaceutical systems with various kinds are basically discussed, including a general classification of materials into nano-materials. Comprehensive discussions on the applications of Nanotechnology in healthcare, electronics, energy, and the environment are provided. Explanations of the use of nano particles in drug delivery, protein transport, and cancer treatment are given. Various types of nano structures, carbon nanotubes, dendrimers, nano crystals, nano wires, nano shells, etc., are explained for cancer therapy. Advances in nanotechnology turn out to be useful for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Different applications of nanotechnology for therapeutic treatments are adopted in tuberculosis, surgical dentistry, ophthalmology, surgery, visualization, tissue engineering, antibiotic resistance, and immune response.
