Author Name : Advocate Koyel Ghosh, Shovan Das, Prabal Ray

ABSTRACT

Adolescence as “to emerge” or “achieve identity” is a very recent idea, particularly in development thought. Adolescence’s distinctive characteristics are indicated by the term’s Latin roots, “adolescere,” which mean “to grow, to mature.” A human begins to communicate the moment he makes his first sound while trying to get his parents’ attention. Every emotion we display on our faces, every hand gesture, every way we look at someone, and every word we speak quickly conveys our views to others. Since cooperation and the sharing of ideas are the only ways a society can advance, communication is crucial for our society. This study is thus important at this moment because society has to be made aware of how movies affect viewers’ moral and social behaviour. Impact of Cinema on Indian Adolescents: “A Sociological Study of Jaipur” has been evaluated in an effort to assess its societal ramifications. The finest method of concept exchange is through film. It is a potent storytelling tool for real-life or historical events. Films combine verbal and visual forms of communication. It naturally pays attention to its target audience because it is a type of entertainment. Visuals, motion, theatre, and music are all combined in films. As a result, it possesses the enchanted ability to successfully communicate and make an impact that no other form of media can. These qualities of movies are what draw crowds from all social strata to the theatre. The art of film allows for creative expression. It improves the ways that mass media can be used for entertainment, information, education, and other purposes. The film industry places a lot of importance on film promotion. Film promotion typically goes hand in hand with film distribution. The producers are now focusing on novel promotion strategies in addition to bold and daring themes to draw in the audience. Typically, filmmakers advertise their films in a variety of ways. Therefore, the current study demonstrates that watching movies as a potent information, education, and entertainment medium has an impact on how diverse social groups acquire their opinions. Additionally, film is a medium that facilitates societal transformation. Finally, it can be said that teenagers greatly absorb psychological, cultural, and sociological changes from movies, which coincide with significant changes in lifestyle and behaviour.
