A Solar-Powered Mobile Wireless Charging Solution for Electric Vehicle Range Anxiety

ABSTRACT The shift to electric vehicles (EVs) presents a viable approach to diminish reliance on fossil fuels and tackle the worldwide issue of climate change. One significant barrier to the extensive adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is "range anxiety," which is the apprehension that an EV will deplete its battery before arriving at a charging point. This project introduces the Wireless Charging Solar Car, a novel solution aimed at alleviating range anxiety by offering mobile, wireless, on-the-go charging for immobilized electric vehicles. The system amalgamates solar energy harvesting with wireless power transfer technology. 6V solar panels generate electricity from sunlight to power 4V wireless transmitters, providing energy straight to electric vehicles and obviating the necessity for cumbersome charging cords. The Wireless Charging Solar Car is outfitted with DC motors, regulated by the L298 motor driver, facilitating precise navigation towards immobilized electric vehicles. An RC transmitter system enables instantaneous, real-time control of the vehicle, guaranteeing swift and effective response in crises. This project showcases a fully operational vehicle that wirelessly charges electric vehicle batteries, minimizing downtime and alleviating range anxiety. The Wireless Charging Solar Car offers a pragmatic, sustainable solution that encourages the adoption of electric vehicles, aids in environmental preservation, and facilitates the transition to cleaner, greener transportation systems.
