A study of Gender Gap Index in SAARC Countries

ABSTRACT The Gender Gap Index (GGI) serves as an important tool to gauge gender equality and women’s participation worldwide. Given the vital role played by the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in regional growth and cooperation, understanding the status of gender inequalities in its member nations becomes imperative. This abstract presents a study that analyzes the GGI in SAARC countries and provides insights into the progress made and challenges faced in achieving gender parity.
