A Study of the implementation Ramai Housing Scheme in Dhule District

ABSTRACT Plans are made for the weaker sections of the society. However, due to poor planning, they fall into disrepair. Many schemes are implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance to bring the backward classes into the mainstream of development and uplift their standard of living. Many proposals under Ramai Housing scheme are stalled. The schemes are on paper as they do not reach the Scheduled Castes. The government has set a target of clean and beautiful houses by 2022. However, the funds for the houses are not given to the beneficiaries on time and the officials and employees have to wait for two years for the houses. The proposals of hundreds of beneficiaries of the scheme have been dusted off. So, will the dream of beautiful houses come true by 2022 Doubts are being raised?
