A Study on Human Resource Management Practices in Agribusiness Expansion With Reference To Agriculture Sector

ABSTRACT

Agribusiness is the fusion of agriculture and business, and it refers to all commercial farming and farming-related economic activities, as well as the production and sale of farm supplies and equipment, as well as the storage, processing, and distribution of agricultural products.This chapter examines the nature and particulars of HRM in the agricultural sector and presents the HR practises of the core and most significant HRM activities in the sector. Moreover, to find out how agricultural businesses' use of human resources contributes to the nation's economic development. The main objective of the agribusiness sector is to increase profits while meeting consumer demand for products derived from natural resources, such as biotechnology, farm products, food, fuel, and fibre. The company's human resource management system is a valuable asset.Agribusiness' main objective is to maximise profits while meeting consumer demand for products made from natural resources such biotechnology, farm products, food, forestry products, fisheries, fuel, and fibre. When compared to technological management and capital management, managing human resources is considered to be a company's most vital asset and is therefore required. One of the most important responsibilities of agricultural managers is human resources. Many agribusinesses utilise formal organisational charts to delineate employee duties. In order to expand an agribusiness, human resources must manage and attract new employees. a staff that includes both highly qualified, semi-skilled labourers and unskilled labourers. Agribusiness involves labour incentives and technical operations needed to maximise productivity from investment input.Agribusiness growth Leadership is a difficult responsibility for most agribusiness managers, and it requires the HR department to do effective planning of labour requirements in all sectors of crop and livestock production.
