ABSTRACT Purpose of study – to identify the existing knowledge and dietary practice regarding prevention of anemia among antental mothers Method- Non experimental quantitative approach and descriptive survey design was adopted. Total 105 samples was selected through Purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by tools socio demographic profile and structured knowledge questionnaire and self reported practice checklist about prevention of anemia antenatal mothers. The data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result- Result shows that the mean with standard deviation of knowledge was 13.13±3.21 and the mean with standard deviation of practice was 14.19± 2.03. 58% mothers had good knowledge regarding prevention of anemia. Mothers had good dietary practice regarding prevention of anemia. There were no any association between socio demographic variables and knowledge about prevention of anemia. There was moderate correlation between knowledge and dietary practice regarding prevention of anemia among antenatal mothers.
