ABSTRACT: The present study is an attempt to know the psychological well-being of male and female working professionals in education sector of Hyderabad. The sample of the study includes 60 male and female working professionals of Government Boys High School, Government Girls High School, Golconda, The Progress Global High School, Bahadurpura, BJR Government Junior College, Government Degree College, Golconda, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. For measuring psychological well-being, the data is collected by administering The Psychological Well-Being Scale (18 items), developed by psychologist Carol D. Ryff. The collected data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and standard error under descriptive statistics and independent sample t-test under inferential statistics. The obtained results show no statistically significant difference between male and female working professionals in education sector with respect to their psychological well-being as the calculated t-value is found to be greater than alpha 0.05 level of significance. Applying the finding, the educational implications are further discussed by the researchers.
