A Study on the Outlook of Adolescents in a Conflict-Stricken State of Manipur

ABSTRACT

The present study is about how adolescents in the northeastern state of Manipur perceive the present situation of the state in the contexts of education and job opportunities. The youth of Manipur is known for their various talents be it in the fields of sports, arts or academics. The question is whether they found the state to be an inducive place for education and employment or in shor,t a land of opportunities for the youngsters. The study made used of a multistage sampling design and total sample of 572 adolescents were surveyed. For the youngsters to grow and develop, there is an urgent need for the law and order of the land to be stable besides various other factors that play crucial role for an individual to thrive.
