“A Study To Assess The Knowledge Regarding Family Planning Among Eligible Couples In Out Patient Department Of Dr. V. V. P. P. R. H. Loni Bk”

 ABSTRACT

Background: Women are the magnificent creation of God, multi-faceted personality with the power of benevolence, adjustability, integrity and tolerance. Our women have a great part to play in the progress of our country. Women’s health is determined by reducing the maternal mortality and morbidity and spacing the birth interval and avoiding abortion.

Material and Methods: A quantitative descriptive study design was used to assess knowledge regarding family planning among eligible couples in OPD of DR.V.V.P.P.R.H., Loni. The sample consisted of 100 eligible couples in OPD of DR.V.V.P.P.R.H., Loni. Sampling technique used for the current study was non probability convenient sampling? A baseline Performa and structured checklist were used to assess knowledge family planning among eligible couples. The structured questionnaire composed of 30 questions based on family planning, contraceptive methods. The results were analysed by descriptive and inferential statistics (frequency, percentage, chi square analysis).
