“A Study to Compare Health Related Quality of Life among Academic and Clinical Physiotherapist”

ABSTRACT

The aim of the study is to compare health related quality of life among academic and clinical physiotherapist. It is a cross sectional study.Health related quality of life was asses by short form 12 questionnaire (which is used to measure the quality of life).Academic physiotherapist are those which teaches the student (eg Lecturer) Clinical Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease as they cause a lot of effort. The investigator provide online questionnaire of subjects through whatsapp, mail etc. A total number of 80 subjects are there. The participants are 40 academic physiotherapists and 40 clinical physiotherapists. The questionnaire for the therapist had 12 questions regarding the mental, physical and social activity. Short form 12 questionnaire was used to assess the difference in quality of life of therapist and SPSS version 24 was used to analyze the data. Respond is perform baseline evaluation of BMI and Quality of life. Independent T test and Pearson correlation of both the therapist is not significant.There is not exact difference among both the therapist and independent t test and Pearson correlation is not significant and hence null hypothesis is proved.
