ABSTRACT Breastfeeding is the natural process where a mother feeds her baby with breast milk, produced by her mammary glands. It's recommended by health organizations worldwide as the optimal way to nourish infants during their first six months of life. Breastfeeding is shown to be the most beneficial feeding method during the baby’s first six months of life, and has positive short and long-term health benefits for both mother and baby. The World Health Organization (WHO) primarily recommends exclusive breastfeeding due to greater health effects than partial breastfeeding. Quasi Experimental approach was used in the study considering the objectives of the study. Non-probability purposive sampling was used. Totally 60 postnatal mothers who had fulfilled the sampling criteria were selected from the hospital,30 samples for the experimental group and 30 samples as control group. Conceptual Frame work of Modified Ernestine Weidenbach’s – The Helping art of Clinical Nursing Theory (1964) was used in the study.
