ABSTRACT Investing is the art of putting your money into assets with the hope of generating income or earning positive returns. Despite the rise in income levels in today’s world, many people still struggle with knowing where, when, and how to invest wisely. To navigate this complex landscape effectively, it’s crucial to understand money management, the value of different investments, and the role of financial institutions. Moreover, being aware of the risks and rewards associated with various investments is essential for making informed decisions. Research has shown that factors like education, financial literacy, and age play significant roles in shaping investment choices. This study delves into how these factors influence investment decisions and explores the connection between an investor’s well-being and their investment choices. This research is descriptive in nature and is based on data collected from 109 respondents through a questionnaire. The analysis of this data was carried out using the SPSS tool, which provided valuable insights into investment behaviours and preferences. Investments can range from long-term to short-term, and from high-risk to risk-free. The goal of investing is to grow your capital, either by creating new assets or by exchanging existing ones for income. Understanding the basics of investing and carefully evaluating your options can help you build a portfolio that balances risk and return effectively.
