ABSTRACT Mutual funds are operated by skilled investment managers who distribute the fund's assets to aim for capital gains or income for investors. The composition of a mutual fund is structured and managed to reflect the investment objectives specified in its prospectus. These funds grant individual investors access to professionally managed groups of stocks, bonds, and various other securities. As a result, each investor proportionately participates in the profits or losses experienced by the fund. Mutual funds invest in a diverse range of securities, and their performance is commonly evaluated by the fluctuation in the fund's total market capitalization, which is influenced by the collective performance of its underlying investments.
