A Traditional Therapeutic Approach by Incorporation of Herbal Medicine in Novel Drug Delivery System for Chronic Kidney Disorder

ABSTRACT

Chronic renal disease has recently attracted more research attention for its morality and mortality rate. Even if there are prevention in stage progressions, a complete cure must be developed due to its complexity and other health issues. Herbal medicine is vital in treating and preventing kidney diseases because of its better compatibility with the human body and lesser side effects. But medicinal values of herbal products are underappreciated due to their low bioavailability, volatilization, temperature sensitivity, oxidation, instability, unpleasant taste, and lack of standardization. The goal of this review is to serve as a bridge between  between novel drug delivery systems and major herbs used in our ancient medicinal therapies. Incorporating novel techniques with herbal remedies may lead to a breakthrough in the challenges associated with treating chronic renal diseases.
