After Globalisation, Implementation of Labour Laws For Women Empowerment

ABSTRACT
Women empowerment and labour laws, both these terms are related to the economy and global progress of any country. Women empowerment simply means empowering the women in the country so that they are able to shoulder their own responsibilities, independently and also so that the capabilities of women can be showcased out to the world which is often barricaded by the narrow mentalities of the orthodox people. Women are capable of handling variant complex issues at the same time with unmatchable frequencies, and getting this out in the light and eyes of the world is women empowerment. Labour laws on the other hand, refers to the various legislations and enactments being constitutionalised in order to stop the discrimination and exploitation of the labour force at their respective workplaces. Labour may include both male and female, but the narrow thoughts of class of society fails in letting the women of the country step out of the daily chores and take the responsibility in lifting the economy of the country. After globalisation, women have been given a special status in all fields of life and has also thrown rays on the then existing labour laws and has added and amended the required provisions according to the changing needs of the society. This paper throws light on the various aspects of globalisation, labour laws and women empowerment prior and post globalisation.
