ABSTRACT
Alarms are the medical devices, which is very crucial for pre-& post-operative patients, ICU is the most important part of our hospital, most of the Critical Patients Are Admitted here. Equipment includes (Hemodynamic Monitor, Defibrillator, Syringe pumps Infusion Pumps, ABG Machine, AED machine, etc.). are basically used in the department of Anesthesia & Critical Care & Pain. The intensive care unit (ICU) is one of the most technically advanced environments in healthcare, using a multitude of medical devices for drug administration, mechanical ventilation, and patient monitoring. ICU may be designed & equipped to provide care to the patient, all the equipment's/machine are properly checked before applying to the patients. All the staff should have accurate knowledge of basic monitoring & how to apply it to the patients. ICU nurses play a vital role in the patient's care and care and operation of various types of equipment in ICU. Conclusion –Nurses and technicians working in the Intensive care unit should be aware of alarms and warning signs. If they will not know very well about it, will affect patients' care because it will influence correctness. Nurses should be skilled in handling and operating all devices and equipment used routinely and in a life-threatening situation.
