An Analysis of the Daily Wage Rate of Construction Workers in Maharashtra

ABSTRACT This analysis deals with the study of the daily wage rate of construction workers in the state of Maharashtra, India. To the Indian economy, the construction industry is a significant contributor. The main objective of this research paper is to understand the daily wage rates of construction workers in Maharashtra and also to study the Maharashtra building & other construction workers’ welfare board which is worked for these construction workers. There were significant growth shown in the last few years regarding the registrations of these construction workers on this welfare board. This board work very well for the welfare of their registered workers such as providing them social security, Education schemes, financial assistance, and many more schemes were launched. The Central and State Government issued some Acts / Rules to regulate the employment and services of the building and other construction workers and for their health, safety, and welfare. Such as the Maharashtra building and other construction workers (Regulation of employment and conditions of service) central rules, 2007.
