ABSTRACT Research on the majority of women domestic workers is lacking, and academic studies usually ignore their contributions. Their work is often disregarded, and many studies fail to sufficiently acknowledge their contributions. This sociological study investigates women domestic workers in Mizoram, including their dwellings and work conditions in the state. According to this study, the vast majority of Mizoram's female domestic workers were young, unmarried women who were state natives and their working conditions are usually mild as compared to women domestic workers from other parts of the country.
