Application of Herbal Finishes on Textile Material to Improve Antimicrobial Activity

ABSTRACT
One of the most rapidly expanding sectors in the technical textile market is herbal textiles. Herbal textiles are the products majorly used for medical, biological and hygienic purposes. In this ultramodern world, people prefer to be comfy in all aspects including medical treatments. Due to the environmental pollutions and global exploitations many people experience a skin disease at some pint of their lives as skin is the largest organ in the body, experience a greatest risk of getting damaged or diseased. Damaged skin may cause itches, rashes, redness, swelling etc., This problem can be eliminated by the herbal finished textiles, which can improve the antimicrobial activity on the clothes to prevent skin from microbes by getting affected. This study was focus on the technology of herbal finishes to garment for skin diseases. By this research work we are trying to produce healthcare garments by coating naturally available herbs as an antimicrobial finished fabrics in the method of micro encapsulation technique.
