ABSTRACT: Background: Breast self-exam is a self examination of the breast that a woman performs at home to look and feel for any changes in the breast and nipple. It is used as a screening test to detect breast cancer at earliest. A routine breast cancer screening is important because the prognosis of breast cancer is better as well as easier to treat if it is diagnosed at the early stage.
