Assessment of Upper Limb and Lower Limb Flexibility in Secondary School Children

ABSTRACT Background of study- Flexibility is defined as the passive mobility of the body part, whose restrictions lies in its own structure which is closely associated to muscle extensibility, ROM, and plasticity of ligaments and tendons.Flexibility is regarded as a crucial component of healthy biomechanical operation. Aims and objectives-To assess upper limb and lower limb flexibility in boys and girls of secondary school children Materials and Methodology- The study included 80 samples of secondary school students including both boys and girls with age ranging from 11-15 years according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Accordingly, tests were performed on the subjects like SST (Shoulder Scratch Test), SART(Sit and Reach Test), Ely’s Test, Popliteal Angle Test.
